Susan Rosefielde
Susan Rosefielde is a professionally trained artist and art historian who divides her time between painting, teaching, and fine arts appraising. A resident of Chapel Hill, NC since 1970, her work reflects the influence of the area's natural setting. Her home, studio and gardens are nestled in a woodland setting, where the cultivated and wild converge. Summers of painting along the mid-California coast infused her early watercolors with the light airiness of the Pacific. Travel and personal study in Japan, coupled with an introspective spiritual temperament have given her watercolor paintings intensity of color and movement, and a loose expressionistic character.
